Celebration of the Arts for Children with Disabilities: Tuesday, November 13, 2012 |

| Description: | This eagerly anticipated event is held every fall on the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall and presents one of the few field- trip opportunities available to students with mild to severe disabilities. Students participate in arts-and-crafts projects and are treated to storytelling, magic shows, music, dance, an appearance by Ronald McDonald and a live outdoor concert. |
| Needs: | About 100 volunteers are needed to assist students with arts-and-crafts projects, to guide groups to their different stations and to help with pre-event craft preparation. |
| Requirements: | A big heart and a smile! 8 a.m. – noon shift. |

43rd Annual Scottsdale Arts Festival: March 8–10, 2013 |

| Description: | The Scottsdale Arts Festival is one of the premier arts festivals in the country. Held every March during the height of Scottsdale's tourist season, the Festival draws tens of thousands of visitors in a single three-day weekend. Proceeds from the Festival help support the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts' programs. |
| Needs: | More than 300 volunteers are needed in the areas of: Gates/Admissions, Food/Beverage, Kids Area, Retail/Information. |
| Requirements: | All-day shifts are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Volunteers are given lunch and t-shirts and are required to attend one of two training sessions. |

Scottsdale Culinary Festival: April 13–14, 2013 |

| Description: | As the longest-running festival of its kind in the United States, the Scottsdale Culinary Festival draws more than 40,000 visitors looking to enjoy fabulous food, music and cooking demonstrations by some the nation's top chefs. |
| Needs: | More than 300 volunteers are needed in the areas of: Gates/Admissions and Food/Beverage. |
| Requirements: | Volunteers are required to attend one of two training sessions. |

Concessions: September 2012 – May, 2013 |

| Description: | Ongoing opportunities from September to May performing a variety of duties. Volunteers are needed to sell concessions during performances and in the retail store monitoring customer traffic or showing merchandise. Concession volunteers may also sell artists’ merchandise during the performances. |
| Needs: | Friendly and outgoing volunteers who are good with handling cash and counting changes. |
| Requirements: | 3–4 hour shifts; professional attire; honest and outgoing personality; may be required to stay after performance is over. |

Concierge |

| Description: | Part concierge/part membership sales: this position greets the public at a variety of events and performances, sells memberships and gives information and directions while helping promote the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts' programs. |
| Needs: | Outgoing, reliable individuals who are willing to learn new information on a regular basis. |
| Requirements: | 2–3 hour shifts; professional attire; outgoing personality. |

Usher Program |

| Description: | Maintain order while greeting and directing patrons to their seats at events. |
| Needs: | Ushers needed for presented and rental events; ushers fill out an availability form and are scheduled based on event type/needs; 3–4 hour shifts, mostly nights and weekends. |
| Requirements: | Must be able to walk up and down stairs, operate in dimly lit conditions and read small print on tickets; must be professional, reliable and courteous. |
| To Volunteer: | Attend one of three mandatory training sessions: Sat, Sept 22, 2012 at 10 a.m. in Stage 2 Wed, Oct 24, 2012 at 6 p.m. in Stage 2 Training session must be completed before any ushering duties are carried out. RSVP to MariaM@sccarts.org to attend one of the sessions. |
